Every area we serve

Each page covers the local housing and its garage doors, how we get there, and the questions people in that area ask most.

Central San Diego

The older mesa neighborhoods around Balboa Park and above Mission Valley, from North Park and Normal Heights to Kensington and Talmadge, plus Mission Valley itself and Clairemont and Tierrasanta to the north. Alley garages behind 1920s bungalows, 1950s tilt-ups and condo rows on the valley floor make up most of the work.

Coastal San Diego

Point Loma, Ocean Beach, Pacific Beach and La Jolla line the city’s shore from the harbor entrance to the Torrey Pines bluffs. Salt air reaches nearly every garage, so springs, lift cables and bottom brackets rust out years early.

North San Diego

The city’s northern neighborhoods along I-805, I-15 and SR-56, from University City and Mira Mesa up through Scripps Ranch, Rancho Peñasquitos and Carmel Mountain Ranch to Rancho Bernardo, with Carmel Valley at the west end of SR-56. Most homes are 1970s to 2000s tracts with steel sectional doors and builder openers.

South Bay

Chula Vista, National City, Bonita, Eastlake and Otay Ranch, Imperial Beach and Coronado, from San Diego Bay east past I-805 and south toward the border. Older west side tilt-ups, Navy rentals and planned villages built since the mid-1980s set the mix.

East County

La Mesa, Lemon Grove, Spring Valley, El Cajon, Santee and Lakeside spread east along I-8, SR-94, SR-125, SR-52 and SR-67 into the inland valleys. Summer heat and Santa Ana winds are hard on bottom seals, rollers and wood doors out here.

North County Inland

Poway, Escondido, San Marcos, Vista, 4S Ranch and Rancho Santa Fe sit along I-15 and SR-78 and in the hills between them. Housing runs from 1950s ranch homes with one-piece doors to 2000s master-planned tracts and estates with heavy wood doors.

North County Coastal

Del Mar, Solana Beach, Encinitas, Carlsbad and Oceanside follow I-5 and the coast highway north to Camp Pendleton. West of I-5 salt air rusts door hardware early, while the tracts inland mostly wear out their builder springs and openers.

Service area questions

Do you charge more for areas far from central San Diego?

No. The posted rates apply in every area on this page, and a repair visit carries no trip fee. For the outer edges we may group appointments by day, so booking a few days ahead gets you a wider choice of times, but a broken spring still gets the first open slot.

Do you work in condos, gated communities and HOA neighborhoods?

Yes. For a condo or townhome, tell us whether the garage is attached, shared or tandem. In a gated community, pass us the gate code or the call-box name when you book. HOA rules govern how the door looks from the street; springs, cables, rollers and openers are inside the garage and do not change that.

Can I book a repair for a rental or for my parents’ house?

Yes. Landlords, property managers and adult children book repairs at other addresses all the time. We check that whoever meets us can authorize the work, fix the door, program the remotes and send the invoice wherever you tell us.
